13 Awesome Carpet Colors for Your Favorite Room in the House

You can definitely get a great look in your favorite room by choosing just the right carpet colors to help you along with your decorating

When was the last time that you went to the store and had to figure out what color you wanted to decorate your rooms? Picking out paint colors is often hard enough and those can be changed whenever you want. Picking out carpet colors on the other hand … that can be almost impossible. After all, you’ll have to live with a carpet color a whole lot longer.

Choosing a Design

The best thing you can do is start by figuring out what else you’ll be doing with that room. If you’re going to be making it a baby’s room you might want lighter colors. If you’re going to be turning it into a study you might want something darker and more prestigious. You may want solid colors for some rooms or variegated colors or even patterns for other rooms. That’s why deciding on the purpose is a great place to start.

Once you’ve got an idea of what you want it’s time to head to the store and start looking at what’s out there. You may find exactly what you thought you want or you might find something entirely different you like better. Going to the store to look at the options is a great way to branch out on your ideas and get started in the right direction before you even know it.

The Cost of Your Carpet

Carpet has a range of different costs so it’s going to depend a lot on you. At the lower end of price you can get carpet for $4 a square foot. At the higher end you’re usually around $12 per square foot. It’s important to keep in mind that this doesn’t necessarily include padding that you might need, subfloor or even installation. You should consider that your costs will be higher if you aren’t doing things yourself.

If you aren’t getting an all-in-one carpet that includes padding you may want to get someone else to install it as well. That’s because you definitely need padding and your carpet will have more steps and a more complex experience if you are trying to do it yourself in two stages. A professional can get it done properly and in no time at all, but it will cost more.

The Options on Carpet Colors

You really have limitless options when it comes to your carpet colors. We’ve found just a small selection of options to choose from and we definitely know just how great it’s going to be for you to have them in your home. Don’t feel tied to just one color or even one palette of colors. There are so many out there that there’s no reason for you to limit yourself to anything. Be bold and definitely be willing to try out any and all of these wild and fun patterns and colors (or at least look at them).
