A 6′-deep porch (12′-deep by the front door) spans the entire front of this rustic one-story country Craftsman barndo-style house plan, providing plenty of fresh-air space, while an 18′-deep vaulted covered porch serves as an outdoor living room in back, and a smaller porch area – plus a carport – provides even more outdoor space to enjoy. Within, you’ll find an open floor layout with a vaulted front-to-back ceiling, a kitchen open to the vaulted dining area, a big corner pantry, and informal counter seating, as well as a side door for bringing groceries in.
The master bedroom has three sides of windows and a big walk-in closet accessible via a pocket door from the five-fixture bath. The remaining bedrooms are located in the home’s front corners and feature linear closets. The RV-friendly garage with a 16′ by 9′ overhead door is accessible through a door between the kitchen and the laundry area. Corrugated metal siding is specified as the outside finish.
