This ADU, guest or in-law apartment, as well as an Airbnb or rental property, is the ideal usage for this rustic shousey (a combination of a shop and a house) plan.
A two-car 18′ by 9′ garage door and a one-car 8′ by 9′ garage door are located on the garage side. There is a personal door at the back corner and a large, open area inside with laundry and equipment lining the wall separating the garage from the house.
The domed great room in the house part is open to the kitchen, which features a long island (13′ by 3’6″) and a wood stove. A separate door leads to a covered porch, and two 8′ by 8′ quad patio doors open to the vaulted covered patio.
The property is completed with the bedrooms, which share a bathroom. This is not made of steel, but rather traditional 2×6 framing.
